The classic Spider Plant is a long-time favorite among plant collectors, and for good reason! They're gorgeous, grow well even in less-than-perfect conditions, and are one of the best plants for propagating and sharing.

In order to thrive, Spider Plants prefer conditions that closely mimic their native tropical environment. Aim to provide plenty of bright-indirect sunlight, water when the top few inches of soil are dry, and give them some extra humidity when possible.

As your Spider Plant matures, it will begin producing small plantlets. Once these have formed roots, they're easy to snip off and propagate in water, or you can plant them directly into soil and give them as a gift! Just be sure to keep the soil moist (but not soaked) as it adjusts to life away from the mama plant.
